Our specialized dental, first aid, and sanitization kits do more than meet a basic need—they actively prevent infections, reduce the spread of disease, and restore the dignity required to build a brighter future in Central Ohio.

Who We Are

Founded in Columbus, Ohio, in January 2021, The Imani Center was born from a simple observation: while many were providing food and clothing, basic hygiene essentials were often overlooked. We stepped in to fill that gap, restoring dignity and confidence through access to everyday care.

What began as a hygiene-focused initiative has since expanded to address food insecurity and the broader needs of those facing homelessness. Today, we are a community-centered movement dedicated to meeting urgent needs and building lasting stability for every individual and family we serve.

Growing Through Service

The Imani Center Inc. is a Columbus-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to transforming lives across Central Ohio. We move beyond traditional aid by meeting our neighbors exactly where they are—rooting every interaction in dignity, compassion, and empowerment.

Our reach continues to expand through high-impact initiatives designed for immediate and lasting relief:

Weekly Outreach: Delivering hot meals and essential resources directly to those experiencing homelessness.
Thrive Kits: Providing curated hygiene and wellness supplies to restore personal confidence.
Community Partnerships: We proudly host a local Blessing Box in collaboration with the Columbus Blessing Box Project, ensuring 24/7 access to non-perishable goods for the community.
